Friday AM

Blog 712
Thursday dawned another sunny day. As soon as breakfast was over Ryan and the young people headed for the college. I had purchased some wood to make a shelf unit to go under the bathroom sink.  My tool supply was definitely limited. I had a handsaw screwdriver hammer square pencil and not much else. The tile bathroom is sloped to a drain in the corner so nothing was exactly level. I had found a hand drill in the shed and Silas had gotten me some bits for it so I started in.  The wood was rough, wet and barely planed. After a couple of hours I quit and got cleaned up.   While waiting for lunch I went over my lesson for the afternoon.
After lunch we rode the white pick up truck into town We stopped to pick up Mary and her daughter Nancy. Ann started the class. Andrea took over and taught the circle of blessing Then I took over to teach a Biblical View of Children. I was not able to finish so will continue tomorrow.   Caleb was excited after class to sail paper airplanes from the balcony outside the classroom. One traversed the whole face of the building and landed half way across the field next door.
Before supper we were in the sitting room with Hillary and his friend Nelson. Ryan and Caleb were playing Crib. The subject of cards came up. We play cards they assured us. "What game do you like?", I asked. "Cards",they said, "We just call it 'cards'. So they taught us "cards" and then we taught them "You Blew It". I have discovered that cards and dice can be a part of all missions trips :).
After supper Ryan got out his guitar and we sang while the students studied and got some extra help from Ann. Caleb managed to hang on till the last note but Gracie gave in before the last couple of songs.
